“Sometimes a few notes of an incomplete melody may steal through your head. It isn’t like any tune you know. And yet, you’ve heard it before. For no reason a name, a noise, an aroma may evoke a dim and distant memory, a memory of a place you cannot clearly remember, but is a place you cannot completely forget.”
“Let’s have some make believe”
V1 — The student closes her eyes at her desk
daydreaming in a classroom
she’s pondering
about existence, pressing imprints
in the wilderness, wandering
she’s listening to the distance
traffic in the wind
the leafy chatter, breezy feeling
is somethin’ akin
to zen — and then
she’s slippin’ out that open window !
grippin’ onto all her fragile hopes and thimbles
V2 — A glimpse into her adult life
sowing, wild, oats !
sprinkle seeds in her path
outsiders think, that she’s in need of a bath
the seams of the fabric
that form her lovely shapes
are at the brink of ripping
giving gawkers double takes
she’s been tits out
tiptoeing on a tight rope
rolling a unicycle
like floating on a lifeboat
she’s, jugglin’ jobs, her friends, her fam
all of which, she fumbles for a stranger, man
that’s her priority seating
tall, dark and albino
she talks of top jobs
but never bothers to find those
over years, all her friends
no longer felt important to her
but hey — at least she got a lot a data
dating suitors
bewitch, the newcomers
ditching her closest homies
All to smash
balderdash and holy moaning
V3 — She snaps out of her vision
the awakening of the student !
she takes a breath in
she’s back in that classroom ?
history lecture lesson
she must a been a-driftin’
up in a premonition
her worldview expanding
upper level, better vision
the importance of the classroom !
concepts and repetition
she don’t wanna be that folk
who only talk of gettin’ missions
she rather work hard, now
and play hard, later
‘cause what’s the point of lust
if your brain aren’t, greater
